This will be my first year as a Mama on Mother's Day. While I appreciate the idea of giving gifts, I feel that often times holidays get taken a bit far and we "over gift" if you will. That's why lately I have really been trying to give gifts with meaning & gifts that help others, too.
These businesses do exactly that. GAIA for Women is a lovely business that employs refugee women that have resettled in Dallas Texas & their goal is to lead them to financial independence and self-sufficiency. These women hand-make BEAUTIFUL items using vintage, artisan-made, and sustainable materials and they will blow you away. GAIA empowers through employment, encouragement, and dedication and this is absolutely a company I can get behind. With price points for every budget, they make bags, jewelry, accessories, home decor & even kid stuff! Check out some of my favorites below & snag something for that special mama in your life!

My Fight is another small business that I absolutely love. Read about what they do here-- but to sum it up their main goal is to help fight poverty. They do so by employing women around the world who live in countries better known for their poverty rates rather than their artisan skills. They make jewelry, bags & even some clothing. Below are some of my favorite options.
We hope to carry items from businesses that give back in our future store. Are there any other companies you love that give back in some way? Comment below!
